I enjoy the interview process and believe that podcasts and recorded interviews offer a powerful way to reach a variety of audiences. Through this medium we have the opportunity to offer valuable education and perspectives on issues related to mental health, quality of life, relationships and the broader world in which we all live.
Listening to powerful speakers, and witnessing the incredible impact we can have through voice has been a profound part of my own education and growth.
Some of my favorite podcasts are:
This American Life is a weekly public radio show broadcast on more than 500 stations to about 2.2 million listeners, and has won all of the major broadcasting awards. It is also often the most popular podcast in the country, with around one million people downloading each week. You will hear amazing stories and learn about things you never imagined.
This podcast hosted by Anna Sale is about the big questions and hard choices that are often left out of polite conversation. This podcast always makes me feel normal, and it helps me to remember that there is so much more going on in the world beyond what’s in my immediate view.
On Being
On Being opens up the animating questions at the center of human life: What does it mean to be human, and how do we want to live? This podcast hosted by Krista Tippet always offers incredible insight and inspires me to be more contemplative. You’ll hear conversations, not interviews with some of the most enlightened people in the world.
Invisibilia
Invisibilia (Latin for all the invisible things) is about the invisible forces that control human behavior – ideas, beliefs, assumptions and emotions. Co-hosted by Lulu Miller and Alix Spiegel, Invisibilia interweaves narrative storytelling with scientific research that will ultimately make you see your own life differently.
The Unplug podcast is an inspirational show created for listeners who are fed up with the status quo world of conformity, consumption, judgement, fear, compliance, and indifference and are ready to shift the paradigm from head to heart by co-creating a more passionate, compassionate, loving, and life-affirming world. It’s a show that inspires a return to wholeness and a remembrance that we are not separate from animals, the Earth, or from each other.
I am happy to lend my voice for interviews on the following topics or any other subjects relevant to my work:
I will be launching my own podcast in early 2016, which will focus on mental health and a variety of psycho-social-spiritual topics related to the human condition. Please be sure to get on my mailing list for updates on this launch.
In the meantime please enjoy my most recent interviews, which I have posted below.
