photoklarissaI’m Klarissa Castro, MA, and I am currently working as a Psychological intern with Dr. Andra Brosh in her downtown Los Angeles office. I am currently accepting new clients including adults, couples and adolescents.

My Philosphy
I believe that Psychotherapy is a personal investment you make in yourself, and that it can provide a great opportunity to get to know yourself, understand others, and to find the true meaning and purpose of your life. Working with me in therapy will help you to outgrow insecurities, discover your strengths, and become the best person you can possibly be. I utilize aspects of humanistic and positive psychology to create a safe, and empathic environment. I also provide a supportive and empowering atmosphere where you will feel comfortable to share your daily challenges as we pave the way to your personal well-being and happiness.

My Training
I received my Bachelor of Science degree at Loyola University of Chicago, and completed my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Los Angeles where I am currently completing my Doctorate degree. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate training I have researched and studied positive psychology, the study of happiness and human thriving. Working in psychiatric hospitals, substance abuse treatment facilities, and college counseling centers, has allowed me to work extensively with a wide range of diverse backgrounds from all different races, ethnicities, and cultures.

I am dedicated and passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise in the mental health field, so I offer my voice once a month on Global Voice Broadcasting with Finding Cupid Radio. I am a member of the Los Angeles Psychological Association, the International Positive Psychology Association, the American Psychological Association, and Counseling Psychology Division 17.

I look forward to working with you!
