Individual Therapy
You don’t have to be in crisis to seek therapy.
The average person thinks about starting therapy for six months before scheduling a first appointment. I recognize how frightening and intimidating this process can be, but as you know getting solid results requires dedication and hard work.
Individual therapy is a powerful and transformative process that can change your life on an exponential level if you are willing to show up to do the work.
You may feel weak for needing this kind of support, but expecting yourself to have all the answers is not only unrealistic, but unfair.
Think about all of the every day struggles in your life that you willingly pay someone to help you with. It might be fixing a plumbing issue in your house, repairing your car, or tailoring a pair of pants. Why do you expect yourself to “know” how to fix all of your problems when you feel no shame about not being capable of doing so many other things?
You need and deserve the opportunity to sit with a non-judgmental, objective other to gain clarity, and a fresh perspective on what is ultimately blocking you from being your best self.
Working together we will come to understand your needs, and how to best address the problems you are experiencing.
My job as your therapist will be to interpret or translate your thoughts, feelings and actions into a language that we can both understand. Your job will be garnering the courage to be as open and honest as possible, and to take responsibility for improving your sense of wellbeing.

Research has shown us that our relational experiences shape who we are, and greatly influence how we see and experience the world.

The process of therapy will clear out what you no longer need to make space for what will help you thrive.
